About Us

Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology (GTBIT) was established in 1999 by the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC). DSGMC manages a host of educational institutes and conducts numerous religious and social activities. GTBIT is a degree-level technical institute, approved by AICTE and affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. GGSIPU was established by the government of the NCT of Delhi under the provisions of the Guru Gobind Singh University Act 1998, with an amendment in 1999. It is an affiliated and teaching University. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India under Section 12B of the UGC Act. It has also been accredited " A Grade " by NAAC. GTBIT has a sprawling campus and is centrally located in Rajouri Garden, New Delhi. The institute has five spacious buildings and state-of-the-art laboratories. Students at GTBIT benefit from excellent study facilities and a dedicated faculty committed to guiding them to success.

Management

The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee is a statutory welfare society established under the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Act of 1971, dedicated to the service of society. In addition to managing the historic gurudwaras of Delhi, with free kitchens serving lakhs of devotees daily, the committee also manages an engineering College, a postgraduate management Institute, a college of education, degree colleges, a Gurmat College, a sangeet college, polytechnic institutes, an industrial training center, a chain of public government-aided schools, hospitals, libraries, and several dispensaries. The committee is dedicated to the noble cause of imparting quality education to the students of Delhi, adhering to the foundational tenets laid down in Sikh scriptures, which preach 'Sarbat Da Bhala' (the welfare of all).
