Communiqué, the Model United Nations (MUN) society of Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology (GTBIT), is a dynamic platform dedicated to fostering global diplomacy, policy-making, and intellectual engagement. Committed to enhancing critical thinking and public speaking, Communiqué organizes impactful MUN conferences where participants engage in discussions on pressing international and socio-political issues.
One of its flagship events, the Kartavya Path Model United Nations (KPMUN), has successfully conducted three editions, including the most recent themed "Peace Across Borders." This conference emphasized diplomacy, inclusivity, and dialogue on complex global conflicts such as the Israel-Palestine crisis, embodying Communiqué’s vision of promoting meaningful deliberations and cultivating analytical and negotiation skills among participants.
Catering to a global audience, Communiqué has extended its reach through online MUN conferences, welcoming participants from over 35 countries including Canada, Russia, South Korea, Australia, Ethiopia, Germany, the USA, Chile, and even smaller nations like Tuvalu. These initiatives have transformed Communiqué into a hub for diverse perspectives, fostering cross-cultural collaboration and understanding.
Through its MUN conferences, workshops, and simulations, Communiqué aims to:
• Develop leadership, diplomacy, and effective communication skills.
• Offer a platform to explore global and domestic issues through structured, informed dialogue.
• Build a global community of engaged learners, problem-solvers, and future leaders.
With a dedicated organizing team and enthusiastic participation from students worldwide, Communiqué continues to inspire and empower the next generation of changemakers, setting new standards for excellence in MUN culture.
