EXPERT SESSION ON “IPR – THE REAL ASSET FOR INNOVATION AND STARTUPS” - 12 APRIL 2025
IIC (Institution’s Innovation Council)@ GTBIT organized an online expert session on “IPR – The Real Asset for Innovation and Startups” on 12th April 2025. The speaker,Dr. Y. Thiagarajan (Professor, HOD, and IIC Convenor at Christ College of Engineering & Technology, Puducherry), shared his expertise on the topic from over 17 years in academia and innovation.
The session covered the basics and significance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), including trademarks, copyrights, and patents. Dr. Thiagarajan emphasized the value of IPR in fostering innovation and protecting the interests of startups and creators.He explained key concepts with the help of examples and real-world scenarios, making the session highly informative and relatable.
