Ruminations - the annual inter-college debate, is a platform for creative,
budding minds, where they can exhibit their oratory skills and try
to make a difference in the present day society. This is one of
the most appreciated debating competition and has been a great success
over the past 3 years. This time we expect to raise the bar further.
The event is being organized on Wednesday, October 24, 2007.
The event commences at 10:00 AM and students should confirm their
registration latest by 9:45 AM.
Topics:
- Diversity is a bane for India. (1st and 2nd year)
- Nuclear Deal: Fuel for India’s Growth (3rd and 4th year)
Rules:
- Maximum of 4 teams per college (2 per category).
- The debate competition is a team event where one speaker
will speak 'FOR' and the other 'AGAINST' the motion.
- A time of 3 minutes will be given to each participant
to put forward his/her views and 1 minute to conclude.
- The final round of the event will be an on-the-spot parliamentary
debate.
